The Rings Of The Lords is still a full-length epic, despite being a spoof, and is roughly the same length as the Lord Of The Rings book. Although very similar in name to the Lord Of The Rings, The Rings Of The Lords has a completely seperate storyline, plot, characters, and even map geometry. The only similarity to the Lord Of The Rings, is that it is based around magic rings. The Rings Of The Lords is based around 6(+2) entirely made-up provinces, named Seldor, Marksfondononon, Eldoria, Assmore, The Imperial Heartland, and Koalmara, plus 2 uncharted orcish territories. The story follows the quest of a task force to collect and destroy the rings of power, before they fall into the hands of the evil Lord Danmard, and his massive army, who leads the militarist regime of his own province, bent on killing anyone that opposes him. The story follows the struggle of the task force to maintain the balance between the resisting allies, and the axis of evil, as the task force eventually becomes known as The Fellowship Of The Fellowship Of The Rings. The fellowship go on a long and arduous quest, suffering undignified deaths, injuries, humiliation, scenes of misfortune and torture, as things never run so smoothly in the real world. The fellowship campaign through all 6 of the main provinces, in this fantasy-epic, and includes original drawings of maps for the 6 provinces (much like The Lords Of The Rings has done), in this spoof.
